 Today. is the 81st anniversary of the loss of the Jack B. Ketchum Crew. For those of you that are already well-aware of that fact ... thank you. For others, allow me to elaborate. On this anniversary, I am expected to say something profound about our efforts to memorialize these men and share their story. I have been engaged in that effort for well over 30 years and it remains my responsibility. What I have to share this year is that efforts of this sort seem "out of vogue" and the battle to remember their forgotten sacrifice is uphill at best. Their voices have deteriorated into sales data and empty third-party promises from entities focused on profiting from their sacrifice.  The story of the Jack B. Ketchum Crew is fascinating and intriguing. It is not however competition for your entertainment dollar or a source of revenue for the entertainment industry. Hopefully, we are keeping that message clear and remaining true to the cause. Join us by sharing their forgotten story...

 The FOTF Memorial Project ended 2025 on a high note, exceeding both the 2025 annual goal of 10,000 books and the lifetime goal of 40,000 books. December was strong with 2,306 books delivered, pushing 2025 book deliveries to 12,626 and lifetime book deliveries to 42,626.    Our stated goal for 2026 is an additional 10,000 book deliveries and a lifetime delivery goal exceeding 50,000. We hope all of you will join us in this effort to honor, support and share the story of the Jack B. Ketchum Crew. Let's make this deliberately forgotten crew the most famous crew in the US Eighth Air Force!

     Amazon reviews for "Flight of the Forgotten" seem to follow a very simple pattern. Positive reviews are essentially from neutral sources and negative reviews almost exclusively derive from local inhabitants of the United Kingdom that don't like how their ancestors are portrayed. Pilfering of the crash site is a fact that UK residents seem incapable of accepting. The supposed rationale being predicated on religious devotion. That is indeed humorous as Nazis during the same era were known to be "born again" Lutherans. No doubt, their descendants are less-than proud of their actions also. Much of the "haunting" aspect of the story that locals choose to dismiss, was presented to us in person by locals during our on-site inspection of the crash site. The FOTF Memorial Project is pleased to report that 2025 (Q3) sales goals are well ahead of schedule. Amazon platform sales for August 2025 exceed 100 units as of the 13th, with global sales across all platforms adding an additional 15 units. Total lifetime sales across all platforms has reached 37,000 with additional promotional efforts planned for 2025. The goal of delivering 40,000 lifetime units by the end of fiscal 2025 remains viable. Thank you for supporting our efforts to honor the Jack B. Ketchum crew and to counter official efforts that would have their sacrifice forever forgotten. In the words of Jack B. Ketchum, "A sacrifice made out of love of country is a sacred gift." 

     The FOTF Memorial Project is very pleased to report that our 2025 quarterly sales goal of 300 books on the Amazon platform has been exceeded by over 800%. A very successful promotion on July 11th enabled us to distribute over 2500 books on the Amazon platform. In addition, 93 books were delivered on the Apple platform and several hundred books on the Google platform. The marketplace continues to express significant interest in the FOTF storyline, and additional sales promotions are being planned for fiscal 2025. To date, lifetime sales in all book formats and across all global platforms exceed 35,000.     We are extremely grateful to everyone involved for helping us share the story of the Jack B.  After falling short for August, September, and October, sales for November 2024 exceeded the sales goal by 52% on the Amazon platform. It is the contention of the FOTF Memorial Project that this surplus was the result of a one-day book promotion during November. Based on the decline in the previous quarter and the surplus resulting from this promotion, the FOTF Memorial Project has elected to pursue a regular book promotion schedule throughout 2025.   Suppose I was to tell you a story about an aircrew that was declared dead to their military superiors on May 27th, and again to their families on June 12th. It was supposedly official, after all. it was printed in the "Stars and Stripes" Newspaper and transmitted via military radio and multiple "Western Union" telegrams. Suppose that story was to include the "not-really-dead" aircrew being assigned an airplane on June 13th for their home-bound flight to the USA. Would you find it odd that they and their airplane flew 90 minutes on June 13th before exploding inflight killing all aboard? You would of course be disappointed if you expected to hear about a subsequent sabotage inquiry or a military "accident" report free of censorship. Would your first impression of this brief summary be dismissive? Would it be ... move along, nothing to see here? That's what those responsible for the tragedy are counting on.    

     It's Memorial Day 2024, which has morphed into Veterans Day in the USA. It is a day to honor and remember loved ones as well as service veterans that have passed away, including those that made the ultimate sacrifice.    I find it ironic that today is also the anniversary of the false radio report that cemented the "cover story" regarding the supposed death of the Jack Ketchum Crew. The "cover story" details the crash of a C-54 transport plane with the Jack Ketchum Crew aboard as home-bound passengers. None of the story is true of course, but it did provide an excellent deterrent to people questioning the immediate whereabouts of the Jack Ketchum Crew.    On this Memorial/Veterans Day, we ask that you take a moment to learn the truth about these fifteen forgotten American airmen. We average 10 daily sales globally as the audience for these stories continues to expand. Sales in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and the Philippines lead the international market. The book is once again #1 in Military/Aviation/History and has reached #8 in Paranormal/Suspense.  Based on this reversal, we are happy to suggest that readers download the e-book version of "Flight of the Forgotten" at their favorite outlet without restriction and we welcome the additional 40 new readers that downloaded the book today on Amazon.
